Artist's Comments

A fibula I had to make at vocational school. It's a replication of a fibula-type which was used during medieval times.

Wow...that is gorgeous.

Out of curiosity, how much would you charge for a comission of something like that?

Thank you very much. Normally I'll take fifteen to twenty Euro for something like that... plus shipment.

I want to go to school that makes you do stuff like that...What will be your profession after you graduate?

Very nice work - when i concentrate i notice slight irregularities but its still much better than the ones i have forged :D

For me its difficult to get the spirals so even - must have allmost the same temperatures for both ends probably

Believe me, if you already know this shool, you wouldn't. It's a little bit difficulty to explain my professions status. We here in Germany have three steps. Lehrling (Apprentice), Geselle, Meister (Master). At the moment I'm a Blacksmith's apprentice. In a few months, after the tests I'll be a Blacksmith Geselle. The problem is, that it seems, that there doesn't exist a translation for Geselle in English.
